Get a Phlebotomy Certification in California (CA)

A phlebotomist is a medical professional who is responsible for drawing blood from patients to perform laboratory tests. To gain a phlebotomy certification in CA, you will need to complete a course and also gain your certification from the same state. For California, this usually means that you must take a practical course that involves a lot of field work for 3 to 6 months, during which time you will learn general medical concepts as well as end up specializing in phlebotomy.

California is one of two states where its mandatory for an individual to possess a phlebotomy certification prior to practicing as a phlebotomist and the state has one of the highest standards for phlebotomy certification in the US. California standards are the benchmark for phlebotomy education throughout the country.
